On 16th November, Aakash Aath, one of the popular General Entertainment Channels, celebrated the completion of 100 successful episodes of their immensely popular mega serial, ‘Shreyoshi‘. A huge cake was cut by the cast & crew members including Arkoja Acharyya, Sayan Karmakar, Soumi Ghosh, Debesh Roy Chowdhury, Shakti Dey, Shreyanshi Mukherjee, Ranit Modak, Barnini Chakraborty and the Director, Anindya Banerjee. The story of this popular on screen-presentation has been adapted from the noted Bengali literary work ‘Shreyoshi‘, written by award-winning writer-journalist, Shri Subodh Ghosh.

Sreyoshi is about the journey of an ordinary girl who has recently been married. It dwells upon the chastity of womanhood and the many sacrifices that a woman has to make to safeguard her near and dear ones from the evil designs of the world. It reveals her unwavering willpower, the kindness and benevolence that she bears in her heart, her sheer fortitude to transcend all boundaries imposed on her and ultimately emerge victorious.
“It was quite challenging for us to adapt and present such an acknowledged literary piece by Shri Subodh Ghosh for our viewers. Apart from the lead cast, the contribution of other artists associated with this mega serial are also undoubtedly praiseworthy. The successful completion of 100 episodes deserved a celebration. We are happy with our viewers’ response and hope to receive their continuous support,” said Ms Eshita Surana Poddar and Priyanka Surana Bardia, Directors, Aakash Aath.

Nandalal Majumdar has penned the dialogues for Shreyoshi while Rakesh Ghosh has written the script. Shreyoshi is telecast every Monday – Saturday at 9:30 pm in Aakash Aath.
