Anti-India Propaganda in Geneva
A video captured by an Indian student in Geneva has gone viral on social media, showing anti-India propaganda being spread outside the United Nations Human Rights Council building.
The video includes claims such as “Indian Christians face state-sponsored terrorism” and “women are treated as slaves in India.” Social media users have expressed outrage at the propaganda, with one questioning how the Indian government could have won elections in a Christian-majority state if Christians were being killed.
Others have criticized the UNHCR for allowing such a campaign to take place on its doorstep. Some have called on the External Affairs Ministry to intervene and have the false and factually incorrect hoardings taken down immediately.
