From 2nd to 5th December 2022, the Annual Art Fair & Festival is being put on by the ArtsAcre Foundation in collaboration with Emami (CSR Initiative). The goal remains the same: to promote creativity, give artists and craftspeople a platform to display their works, and bring art closer to the general public. Similar to past years, we are building 65 beautifully designed booths inside our expansive campus where individual artists, groups, and organizations will be showcasing their works of art, handicrafts, handlooms, etc., and making them accessible for people to purchase at a reasonable price.

The fair’s evenings will once again be jam-packed with vibrant performing arts performances featuring folk music, folk dance, contemporary dance, band music, and more.

A contemporary art exhibition titled “Traversing Thoughts: Beyond the mediums” is also being planned to run concurrently with Art Haat 2022. This contemporary exhibition, which Soma Bhowmik has curated, features artists who are not constrained by a traditional understanding of the medium and who make conscious decisions to explore and experiment with their mediums to travel uncharted territory. This program emphasizes the contrast between two types of materials: soft mediums (such as cloth, stitches, and threads) and hard mediums. By reinventing and reimagining the nature, quality, and scope of the mediums, artists in both categories have rejected the traditional and original purposes of the medium itself.

Guests of honor who were present in today’s inauguration ceremony are Ganesh Haloi (Artist), Shri Snehasish Chakraborty (Minister for Transport, Govt. of West Bengal), Smt. Krishna Chakraborty (Mayor, Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation), Smt. June Malia (Actress & MLA), Sayantika Bannerjee (Actress), Koneenica Banerjee (Actress) Richa Agarwal (CEO, Emami Art), Satyam Roychowdhury, MD, Techno India Group / Chancellor, Sister Nivedita University), Harshavardhan Neotia (Chairman, Ambuja Neotia Group), Meghdut Roychowdhury (Director & Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group) and Mr. Debashis Sen (MD WBHIDCO)
