Bail plea rejected again, sentenced to 14 days in jail

Anubrata Mandal did not get bail .The Dapute leader of Birbhum will have to be in jail for 14 days again. The special CBI court judge in Asansol gave this order on Friday. The hearing will be held again on November 25. On this day, the CBI used the ‘tiger’ comment of state minister Firhad Hakim recently. After the question-and-answer of both parties, the judge rejected the application for unconditional bail. After the jail custody, Anubrata, who was caught in the cow smuggling case, was again presented in the Asansol special CBI court on Friday. From the beginning of the hearing, his lawyer applied for unconditional bail. CBI’s lawyer opposed it. As an argument, the CBI lawyer claims that the witnesses in the case are being threatened. Besides, using Firhad Hakim’s ‘tiger’ comment, the CBI lawyer said that there is no doubt that Anuvrata is influential. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the judge rejected the bail application. The judge ordered Anubrata Mandal’s 14-day jail custody. Meanwhile, Calcutta High Court, Supreme Court has withdrawn the protection granted to Anuvrata Mandal in the post-poll violence case.
