The allure of Italy, an unparalleled destination
Giodano Bruno Guerri, the President of Fondazionell Vittoriale delgi Italiani, and Roberto Stabile, the Head of Special Projects of the DGCA of the MiC at Cinecittà, served as the guests of honour at the event, which was held at Saturday Club (the largest film studio in Europe). Giordano and Roberto gave elaborate video presentations on Italy, including its stunning landscapes for movies, weddings, and vacations, as well as its fantastic cuisine, wines, and shopping locales, all of which were planned by them.
It was really intriguing that Italy offers discounts of up to 40% on these bigger events and actively promotes tourism to its locations and services.The significant locations that were specifically highlighted for these unique events were the stunning Lake Garda, the largest Italian lake and situated at the foot of the Alps; Collodi, the birthplace of Pinocchio and dating back to the 12th century; and Erice, a historic town on the western tip of Sicily.
A number of travel agents spoke to their Italian hosts about their requirements in terms of visas and other matters, and they received assurances that the process would be very straightforward once they had decided on their destinations. These B2B interactions, which persisted throughout a grand dinner celebration, were very interesting.
To help promote unique locations in Italy for shoots, destination weddings, and travel and leisure, Gianluca Rubagotti, the Consul General of Italy to Kolkata, organised a seminar that was followed by a B2B for members of the movie fraternity in Kolkata as well as for big travel agents, media personnel, wedding planners, and other such people.
