CM Banerjee to inaugurate Durga Pujas from Sunday

Devi Paksha begins today on Mahalaya. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is releasing the festival issue of Jagobangla, the mouthpiece of her party Trinamool Congress, today. The programme of Nazrul Manch starts with the ‘Mahishasuramdini’ programme at 3:30 pm. Subhasree and Sayantika will perform. Babul Supriya and Monomoy Bhattacharya will also be singing.
The chief minister will release her own song album on the occasion. The eight-song album has been titled “Bengal Song, Festival Song,” all of which are written by her and composed by her. Apart from the Chief Minister, there will be the All India General Secretary of TMC, Abhishek Banerjee, and State President Subrata Bakshi, along with senior members of the State Cabinet and eminent poets and writers. The chief minister is also starting the inauguration phase of Durga Pujas in the city from this day.
From today, the Chief Minister will start the inauguration of one puja after another. The pujas she is scheduled to inaugurate from here are Babubagan, Salimpur Palli, 95 Palli, Jodhpur Park Sharadiya Utsav Committee. The Chief Minister started the Puja of Chetla every time by donating the eyes of the mother idol, and this time she is doing the same this time. From there, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the pujas of several districts virtually. She will inaugurate the College Square puja the next day. After that, several pujas in South Kolkata will be started at the hands of the Chief Minister. On the other hand, on this day, the crowd of Shashti has started for the puja of Sreebhumi in the northern suburbs.
