CM, “Mamta Banerjee” will visit to Purba Medinipur next week.
Chief Minister, “Mamta Banerjee” will visit Medinipur district on September 14 to inaugurate several special projects , including the Digha Mandaramani bypass road.
Sources in (TMC) Trinamool Congress said that this would be the first district tour of CM before the Panchayat prolly. The Chief Minister will also hold an administrative meeting in Nimtauri in Tamluk officials said. The chief Minister does not want to go in a panchayat election with pending development work. There are high chances that she will visit Purba Medinipur first because Congress is not in a good position following the registration of Suvendu Adhikari, who joined BJP ahead of the Assembly elections last year, a TMC said.
According to sources, the chairman of Purba Medinipur zila Parishad will be held on Wednesday in the presence of TMC chief. There is a vacancy as incumbent chairman of the Zila Parishad,Devprasad Das, died recently.Apart from all this , District Magistrate of Purba Medinipur held a meeting with administrative officers on Saturday as the Chief Minister to visit. The meeting was attended by BDOs of the 25 block district and other officials from district administration and police.
