Cold Wave, Poor Visibility Prevails in Parts of Kolkata
Frigid weather conditions persisted in parts of Kolkata and Delhi on Monday, resulting in low visibility and causing residents to seek warmth by huddling around bonfires. According to the India Meteorological Department, temperatures in January 2023 are expected to remain below average in several regions of central India and neighboring areas of northwest, east, and peninsular India.
“It is very very cold. One cannot survive without sitting near the fire,” said a watchman who was seen near a bonfire near Mata Sundri road in the New Delhi area.
