Crack down on child porn

CBI had formed a special cell in 2019 to stop child pornography. Although the activities of the vicious circle could not be completely stopped, the Central Investigation Agency took a big step on Saturday to stop the violence of child pornography on the Internet. On this day, the CBI conducted search operations at 56 addresses in a total of 20 states and union territories of the country.
According to CBI sources, Interpol’s New Zealand unit recently sent several pieces of information on child pornography to India’s Central Bureau of Investigation. The code name of this operation was “Operation Megh-Chakra”
Individuals as well as groups are known to be spreading child pornography on the Internet.
Following the filing, the CBI raided homes on Saturday. For this, the Central Investigation Agency has been conducting cyber surveillance for the past few weeks. It contains multiple mobile phones and computers containing child pornography.
New Delhi banned porn sites a few years ago. 827 porn sites were closed in the country. Then, in 2019, the center closed more than 400 YouTube channels. Allegedly, the channels used to show child exploitation videos or child pornography in the name of normal videos. Even after the vigilance of the “Anti-Child Rape and Sexual Exploitation” cell, child pornography is not being prevented, which is why the CBI conducted the operation again.
