Expect close to 100 mn COVID cases, 1 million deaths in China: Doctor
China’s National Health Commission (NHC) on Sunday stopped releasing daily Covid-19 data amid questions about its credibility as infections exploded after the sudden easing of strict restrictions. “Based on mathematical calculations, China is expected to have nearly 100 million COVID cases, 5 million hospitalizations and 1 million deaths, which are huge numbers.” Neeraj Kumar Gupta, Delhi HOD, Department of Respiratory Medicine, Safdarjun Hospital, Saturday.
