Godhuli Alap’s End: Producer Raj Chakraborty’s Positive Message to Fans on the Show’s Conclusion

Kolkata: In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the beloved Bengali serial “Godhuli Alap” has been abruptly shut down by its makers, even during its non-prime time run. The news has struck a chord with the passionate fans, whose voices now resound through the “Godhuli Alap (Official Fans Group)” on Facebook. With emotions running high, fans from across the globe have flooded social media and media outlets, fervently pleading for the show to continue. Their unwavering support stems from a deep-seated love and a shared belief in the show’s profound impact on their lives.
Times Nation contacted Director Swapan Nandi on May 28th, 2023 and it was confirmed that the show will actually be shut down after May 2023 completing 350 episodes. Furthermore, the Director said that the show, under the banner of Raj Chakraborty Productions, had “nothing under their control” as this was the “channel’s decision”. It is to be noted how Godhuli Alap managed to get the highest TRP and was the slot leader. In comparison to its rival shows, the show’s TRP has been higher or equal to the other shows running on the channel for 7 consecutive months (November to May) Godhuli Alap’s TRP was at an all-time high with a 4.2 on February 2nd week.
30th May, Tuesday was the last day of the show’s shoot, and the team was in the mood for celebration. Producer Raj Chakraborty went on a Facebook Live session for more than 18 minutes. There, the cast and crew of the show were present in its entirety and shared their views and thoughts regarding the end. Raj Chakraborty assured the fans that even though their beloved Godhuli Alap will go off-air, the production house will soon come up with another entertaining show for the fans. It is important to note that this is an emotional but practical move made jointly by the channel and the production house. Giving a conclusion to the show, producer Chakraborty said that it’s the best decision for the show as well because of the storyline. It is in the interest of the fans and the audience in general. He urged the fans to support him and his productions generously as he would be nowhere without them.

বর্তমান লেখিকা যে ভাবে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন তাতে খুব ভালো লেগেছিল দর্শকে। সপ্তাহে সাতদিন হবে জেনে আনন্দের জোয়ার বইছিল সকলের মাঝে। এই বন্ধের সিদ্ধান্ত হঠাৎ নেয়া এটা সম্পূর্ণ চ্যানেল এর সিদ্ধান্ত। রাজ দা যতোই বলুন না কেন মিলিত সিদ্ধান্ত।
