With the Gujarat Titans beating Mumbai Indians in the 2nd Qualifier, the stage for the Grand Finale of IPL 2023 is set with Hardik Pandya-led GT facing Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led CSK

Ahmedabad: 28th of May, 2023 will be an entertaining day for most cricket fans all around the world. It will be the Grand Finale of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. After a stunning season and the 2 Qualifier matches and one eliminator, the teams for the IPL final are final. It is Gujarat Titans (GT) against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fighting for the Winning title and trophy now.

This comes after Mumbai Indians (MI)’s stunning victory against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Eliminator, LSG and MI were in the 3rd and 4th position respectively on the points table of IPL 2023. They qualified for the Playoffs by a sheer margin of 1 point. After MI’s team thrashed LSG in the ELiminator, LSG ended up in the 4th position while MI qualified for Qualifier 2. This Qualifier 2 (between GT and MI) decided the fate of MI as they lost by a margin of 62 runs and secured the 3rd position on the points table.

After rain delayed the start of play by 30 minutes, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl against Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium; Shubman Gill slammed a sensational 129 off 60 balls, his third century of IPL 2023 and powered Gujarat Titans to a mammoth 233/3 against Mumbai Indians on Friday. Gujarat Titans bundled out Mumbai Indians for 171. Sensational from Gujarat Titans as they completely outclassed Mumbai Indians in all three departments.
The match in Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will be a nail-biting one because The Super Kings have won four out of nine finals they have competed in, while the Titans are the defending champions.
