Illegal guns seized in South 24 Parganas, gun supplier arrested:PolicePolice say five unlicensed guns and live ammunition were seized from North Swaroopnagar district of South 24 Parganas district said. Officials said an illegal arms supplier identified as Aashiq Azam Ghazi was arrested in connection with the incident.Police said, based on confidential information, that the recovery was carried out during a Saturday night raid.Seizures of illegal weapons have accelerated after the state government announced that Panchayat elections would be held early next year.
