Indian Air Force Acquires MTA
The Indian Air Force has started the process of obtaining a Medium Transport Aircraft to be manufactured domestically as part of the “Make in India” program. This aircraft, which has a cargo capacity of 18-30 tonnes, will be used for various transport roles.
India’s defence sector is undergoing a major transformation through the “Make in India” initiative, which involves the domestic production of various defence platforms such as missiles, tanks, fighter planes, helicopters, drones, aircraft carriers, and field guns to meet the modernisation needs of its armed forces.
