Laxmi Ratan Shukla Congratulates the U-19 Women’s Cricket Team
Laxmi Ratan shukla, the Coach for West Bengal Cricket Team, congratulates the Under-19 Indian Women’s Cricket Team upon their grand victory

Kolkata: The U-19 women’s team has won a significant match against England at the T-20 World Cup 2023 and created a milestone in the history of women’s cricket. For the striking achievements of U-19 T-20 World Cup, Bengal’s coach Laxmi Ratan Shukla has congratulated the entire team praising their teamwork and joint effort that has been one of the key factors for the attainment of the World Cup Trophy. Besides other players, he has also mentioned about the noteworthy contribution of wicketkeeper Hrishita Basu (from Howrah) in the match.
Hrishita Basu, a resident of Balitikuri in Dasnagar, Howrah district, made her debut as a wicketkeeper at the LRS Bangla Sports Academy and has been trained by former Indian cricketer and Bengal Team Coach Laxmi Ratan Shukla. Hrishita Basu has shown a remarkable performance in the inaugural T20 Under 19 Women’s World Cup Trophy and has been a triumph. LRS Sports Academy along with their coach congratulated the Indian Women’s team for their victory after a thrashing win against England on 29th January 2023 in South Africa.
The team had defeated England with 8 wickets where Titas Sadhu took 2 wickets within 6 runs. In sync with Ms. Sadhu, Parshavi Chopra took another 2 wickets at 13 on the scoreboard and Archana Devi got hold of another 2 wickets by 17 runs and made a glorious win over England at just 68 runs.
