Metro crossed the crore mark in a day in terms of revenue

Passengers increased by more than fifty thousand in two consecutive days. Metro passengers had crossed the 650,000 mark on Wednesday. On Thursday it crossed the seven lakh mark in the fourth quarter. There were 7 lakh 10 thousand 521 passengers in metro that day. In terms of income, metro earned crores of rupees in one day.

Metro’s revenue on Wednesday was close to Rs 94 lakh. On Thursday, that figure was 1 crore 6 lakh 81 thousand taka. Metro was crowded on Friday Panchami as well. Today, the authorities are expecting a huge crowd on the sixth as well. Tritiya Dum Dum Metro

There were 83 thousand 180 passengers at the station. It has increased to 88 thousand 687 in the fourth quarter. At Esplanade station, there were 53 thousand 875 passengers in Tritiya and 52 thousand 127 in Chaturthi. The crowd at Esplanade is slightly reduced, but the crowd is increasing at Kalighat and Kabi Nazrul stations. Metro authorities hoping to get more runs from the bat of Kalighat in Pujo.

The authorities have decided to open additional counters after understanding the demand for tokens. Apart from 12 special teams to deal with the crowd, 13 quick response teams have been formed to deal with the problem. A special team is also ready with sniffer dogs. Emergency treatment booths are being opened at Mahatma Gandhi Road, Kalighat and Kavi Subhash Station.
