Modi-Jinping face to face in Bali, Indonesia

Chinese President Xi Jinping met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time after the bloody clashes in Galwan Valley of Ladakh.
The two leaders met at the dinner of the G-20 Summit in Bali, Indonesia on Tuesday. Later Modi and Xi shook hands. They talk for a while. However, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has said that although they are seen in public for the first time after the Ladakh incident, there is no possibility of a side meeting between the two state leaders. The two were last seen together three years ago in Mallapuram, Tamil Nadu. At that time bilateral diplomacy had a message of friendship.Incidentally, after becoming the prime minister in 2014, Modi became active in building good relations with the Chinese president. He took Xi Jinping to his state Gujarat. After the Galwan scandal of 2020, that effort ended. Modi and Xi were scheduled to meet at the Shanghai Cooperation Summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan last September. But in the end the two leaders did not meet.
