North Korea Strong Military Against Japan

North Korea has threatened to take military action against Japan in response to Japan’s adoption of a national security strategy that aims to increase military spending and gain a more offensive stance against potential threats from China and North Korea.

North Korea’s Foreign Ministry accused Japan of attempting to acquire “pre-emptive attack capability” and said the US was supporting and promoting Japan’s military ambitions, which were undermining regional peace. The statement also expressed North Korea’s desire to protect its sovereignty and national interests through “bold and decisive military steps” in response to the complexity of regional security caused by Japan’s security strategy. Japan’s strategy identifies China as the “biggest strategic challenge,” followed by North Korea and Russia.
