One arrested in Suti with firearms, bombs, bullets

On Thursday night, police from Suti police station in Murshidabad district arrested a man with a large number of bombs and bullets on tip-off.The arrested person was produced in the Jangipur Sub-Divisional Court on Friday, applying for seven-day police custody. According to police sources, the arrested person’s name is Reten Ghosh. His house is in Ahiron Namupara village under Suti police station. Police recovered a country-made gun, four rounds of bullets and four country-made bombs from the house of the accused. Bomb disposal squad members defused the bombs at a field in Ahiran on Friday morning.According to police sources, on Thursday they received information from secret sources that Ritin has collected some bombs and bullets in his house to organize crime in the area. Acting on that information, Suti police officers raided Riten’s house on Thursday night and arrested him with firearms, bombs and bullets.However, according to local sources, there was a dispute with Reten Ghosh over the land of one of his neighbors for the past few days. Neighbors claimed that Riten had stockpiled firearms, bombs and bullets in his house with the intention of killing the man.
