Railways open additional ticket counters for India-Bangladesh train passengers at Kolkata station

The railway has opened two additional ticket offices for passengers on India-Bangladesh international trains here at Kolkata station as demand has increased significantly since the COVID-19 pandemic slump, officials said on Friday. Stated.Passengers traveling between the two neighboring countries on Maitree Express, Bandhan Express and Mitali Express will be able to use these counters in addition to the two existing counters at Kolkata station, an Eastern Railways official said.
The four ticket counters, dedicated to passengers on international trains in India and Bangladesh, will be open from 10am to 4pm on weekdays to help cope with increased demand following the slowdown in the pandemic, he said.The Maitree Express runs between Kolkata and Dhaka, the Bandhan Express between Kolkata and Khulna, and the Mitali Express between New He Jalpaiguri and Dhaka. He said the four ticket offices, exclusively for India-Bangladesh international train passengers, will help cope with the increased demand after the pandemic slows down and are open all weekdays from 10am to 4pm.
