India’s Cricket Control Board (BCCI) has released a statement regarding Indian wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant who was involved in a car crash on the Delhi-Dehradun highway early Friday morning. “Rishabh Pant was involved in a car accident early Friday morning near Roorkee, Uttarakhand. BCCI said in a statement.

According to BCCI Director Jay Shah, Pant “had two lacerations on his forehead, a torn ligament in his right knee, injuries to his right wrist, ankle and toe, and a scrape on his back.” his condition is stable. “BCCI is in constant contact with Rishab’s family and the medical team is in close contact with the doctors who are currently treating Rishab. We will ensure that you have all the support you need during this traumatic time,” the statement continued. BCCI also revealed that the Haridwar-born player will undergo an MRI scan at Max Hospital to determine the extent of his injury and determine further treatment. According to Dr. Max Hospital’s Ashish Yagnik, the player was put under the supervision of an orthopedic and plastic surgeon.
